October 8th is our next Monthly Club Meeting! Scroll Down for details

SOCIAL CALENDAR

OCTOBER 10th will be the date for our Social/Membership Drive. Looks like Scotty’s at Falcon Ridge Golf is a strong possibility but they may not have completed their re-seeding so we’re thinking of checking out the two new hotels in town as well. The plan is a cash bar and the club will provide a couple-three Hors d’ovueres, water and sodas. Got any ideas for a great location? Please contact our 1st Vice President (Programs) Donna Vinita at (661) 304-0180.

NOVEMBER 19th we’ve partnered with our friends at The Mesquite Veteran Center (MVC) who’s sponsoring an American Red Cross Blood Drive, located at 840 Hafen Lane. Hours for the drive are 9am-3pm inside and we’re also trying to get the donor truck so we can accomodate everyone. All are welcomed to participate — you do not need to have an appointment but it’s always best to have one so you’re not turned away. For an appointment, please visit redcrossblood.org Or call 1-800-RED CROSS (1-800-733-2767).

Future Events Under Consideration:

  • “How to Play Poker” -class followed by a couple games for practice, taught by the Mesquite Poker Boys – efforts are under way to coordinate with the Virgin Valley Daughters of the American Revolution (VVDAR).
  • A Paint n’ Sip / Paint n’ Pour Class and a Ceramics Class (looking at vendors – many popular ones were gone for the summer)

GREAT READ: Fact Sheet: President Donald J. Trump Is Protecting Americans’ Second Amendment Rights – The White House

Looking at a Gun Basics 101 for Ladies Only (two vendors have submitted proposals – no one vetted yet).

  • Personal Protection/Situational Awareness Class (three vendors are currently being evaluated)
  • Ladies Only Gun Club: A few experienced gun-carrying members and an elected official from District 1 has recommended a ladies gun club that has indicated they may want to expand and create a new chapter in Moapa Valley and Southern Utah. Check them out here: NV – Las Vegas Chapter of A Girl & A Gun. We will begin research soon. Currently they’re in Henderson, Las Vegas, Sierra Foothills, Pahrump, Douglas County and Reno and only in Central and Salt Lake, Utah.

If you are a community business (Virgin Valley or Moapa Valley) and want to present an event for our club to consider, we look forward to hearing from you! Please contact our 1st Vice President (Programs) Donna Vinita at (661) 304-0180.
